T-M.Ed. ELM is part of the Future Leaders Pathway Programme. This Top-Up Master’s programme (Level 9, 30 ECTS) is ONLY and without exception available to students who are graduates of the PGDELM (since 2017), subject to availability of places.

The Future Leaders Pathway Programme is designed for teachers at all levels who are seeking or who are already in leadership roles, as well as for those who are seeking to develop leadership skills in their educational settings. The programme is designed specifically to build your knowledge, competence and expertise as you undertake your education leadership journey. The programme offers a combination of practical skills and theoretical foundations to support preparation for leadership and management positions at all levels. It is designed and delivered by experienced leaders, educators and academics from a variety of professional education roles and has input from national and international academic/ practitioner experts in the areas of educational leadership and management. The T-M.Ed. ELM programme is a nationally and internationally recognised qualification from the National University of Ireland at level 9 on the NFQ.

This is a top-up qualification exclusively for graduates of the PGDELM (since 2017). Graduates of the PGD Ed Leadership or PGD Educational Management are not eligible to apply.

Please note that the closing date is provisional as there is a limit to the number of places available on this programme.  Once this limit has been reached, no further applications will be accepted.  Applicants should apply early to avoid disappointment.  Please note that this programme is only and without exception available to students who are graduates of the PGDELM.

 There is no option to defer.

Supporting documents for application to T-M.Ed. ELM are not required as you are already a graduate of the PGDELM. However, please ensure you complete all sections of the application form.

Students complete two modules in order for students to be awarded T-M.Ed. ELM degree:

ED685- Capstone Project (20 credits)
