The annual Entrance Scholarship Awards, organised by the Admissions Office, recognise the particular academic achievements of some of our first year students. Congratulations to over seventy new Maynooth University students joining us this year who achieved 575 points or more in their Leaving Certificate examination.
The Entrance Scholars Awards Ceremony took place recently on campus. Maynooth University President Professor Eeva Leinonen presented the Scholars with a commemorative piece of crystal in the presence of family, friends and school representatives.
Speaking about the event, Director of Admissions, Ita McGuigan said ‘we are delighted to celebrate with Scholarship recipients, their family and schools, their outstanding achievements in the Leaving Certificates. Tonight, we had over 70 Scholars from over 60 schools from all over Ireland in attendance, who chose to study at Maynooth University’.
