Some of Paddy Harrington Golf Scholarship highlights over the past few months include a visit to the Sports Centre to speak to the scholars from Padraig Harrington.

Other highlights include:
- Thomas Abom (1st Business & Sports Science) won the first leg of the R&A Student Tour Series (Europe’s elite student golf tour) in Sweden in September. Thomas’s win has brought Maynooth University into double digits in individual student tour series victories.
- Ryan Griffin (MSc Environmental Psychology) was runner-up in the Inaugural Lyons Links Golf Invitational hosted by Wake Forest University at The Royal Dublin Golf Club which featured MU men’s team against three top US college golf teams (Wake Forest, Elon & California Polytechnic)
- Simon Walker (MSc Finance) won the Irish Inter-Varsity Championship in October making it 3 inter-varsity titles in a row for MU.
- Aodhagan Brady (1st Business & Accounting) and Simon Walker (MSc Finance) finished 10th in the King Hamad Pro-Am International Trophy in the Bahrain at the end of November; a good result against professionals
- Ryan Griffin (MSc Environmental Psychology) and Kate Lanigan (MSc Finance) were selected for Golf Ireland’s 2025 High Performance National Squad.
