- Advertising: Once your placement role is ready, we will advertise through our current online portal.
- Selection process: The Placement team will not take part in the selection process. However, we will be happy to forward applications for you to review and to provide you with any additional information you may require.
- Interviews: We can assist with interview arrangements. Interviews can be arranged on-site or virtually, whichever is most convenient for the employer.
- Salary: Placements should be paid in accordance with the Minimum Wage Act 2000.

The Placement Team will be available to assist and answer any queries you may have. Disciplinary issues or other placement related issues should be communicated to the Placement Team at the earliest opportunity.
The Maynooth University Placement Programme is aimed at enhancing employability by giving a real-life experience of professional, full-time work; therefore, we ask students to use initiative and take responsibility in coming forward with any issues they may have. The Placement Team will work with all parties to find an acceptable solution where possible.

Visits And Support
It is hoped that every MU student will have a placement visit. Visits are organised with the permission and agreement of the placement host. Visits may be virtual or on-site, whichever is mutually agreeable. Each visit would ideally consist of a 10 minute meeting with the student followed by the same with the organisation representative.
Assessment Guidance And Placement Evaluation
The student may be required to complete university assessments including monthly reflective journal entries and evaluations, while taking confidentiality and NDAs into account. Your organisation is asked to submit a feedback survey and evaluation of the placement experience as a whole.

Please note the Maynooth University Placement Team only places students from the degrees noted here. We do not place students for education or early childcare roles. We advertise student work placement opportunities on the Placement Connect portal which is only available to student on the Placement Programme. This way we can select the exact degrees you are trying to target.
