Dr Noelle Higgins on organising committee of the Conference on ‘Academic Freedom in Turbulent Times’,

Dr Noelle Higgins was on the organising committee of the Conference on ‘Academic Freedom in Turbulent Times’, a Scholars at Risk-Ireland Network event, held in Renehan Hall at Maynooth University on 6th November 2017, supported by Universities Ireland. She facilitated a session on the Academic Freedom Monitoring project, run by Scholars at Risk. The Department of Law contributes to this initiative through a clinic, run by Dr Higgins, where law students research and write reports on attacks on academic freedom throughout the world. Dr Higgins teaches a module on the Rights of Minorities and Indigenous Peoples on the LLM in International Justice programme offered by Maynooth University Department of Law.
