Prof. Doherty attends the Goodcorp Research Network meeting in Vienna, Austria

Professor Michael Doherty attended the Goodcorp Research Network meeting in Vienna on June 8-9, which focused on the European Commission’s proposed package of Company Law measures.
 
About the Goodcorp Research Network

GoodCorp is a network of researchers and trade unionists concerned with corporate governance issues. It was established in 2005 by the ETUI and has a threefold mission.The first aspect of its mission is to exchange information and opinions on current issues on the European corporate governance agenda; the second is to provide expert advice to trade unions and policymakers on corporate governance issues; the third is to support conceptual work developing alternative concepts of the company and corporate governance in the interests of workers and society as a whole

Prof Doherty is a member of a number of research networks, and has collaborated on many reports for the European Commission and Parliament on labour rights issues, including the 2015 report on EU Social and Labour Rights and EU Internal Market Law.

Professor Doherty teaches Employment Law on the LLB and BCL courses at Department of Law, Maynooth University.
