Dr Higgins Presents Paper on Human Rights Violations at the University of Gdansk

Dr Noelle Higgins was invited to present a paper, entitled, ‘Damages for Violations of Human Rights in Ireland’ at a conference organised by the Department of Civil Law at the University of Gdansk which took place on 22 and 23 October 2015. The conference was organised by Prof Ewa Bagińska of Gdansk University and speakers from a number of jurisdictions, including Greece, Norway and Italy were invited to speak on the use of damages as a remedy for human rights violations in their States. Dr Higgins is a Senior Lecturer at Maynooth University Department of Law where she lectures in International Criminal Law, Public International Law, and The Rights of Minorities and Indigenous Peoples. Noelle is also the Course Director of the Department's LLM in International Justice
