Dr. John Reynolds awarded a Connections Grant by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada

Dr Paul O'Keeffe publishes on Education of Refugees and Displaced Students
Dr. Paul O'Keeffe has published a new book chapter entitled 'Higher Education in Refugee Camps via Collaborative Blended Learning: The Impact and Benefits for Refugees and Their Student Tutors'. The chapter details his research into the impact of multidisciplinary higher education programmes which he developed and managed in Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya and Azraq refugee camp in Jordan from 2017 - 2021. The chapter appears in the Springer book 'Teaching Refugees and Displaced Students: What Every Educator Should Know' and is available to order now.

On 25 April 2023, Dr Patrick Bresnihan in the Department of Geography at Maynooth University became one of 40 new members as the first cohort of the new Young Academy Ireland – (YAI), a network of early career researchers and innovators (ECRIs).
