In this interesting and thought provoking webinar, Dr. Camilla Fitzsimons and Professor Ester Cois were facilitated in a conversation by Lilian Nwanze where they used their life stories as an entry point to discuss issues facing women in academia. They interrogated equality and diversity initiatives that amounted to tick-box exercises and also highlighted the impact a rigid neo-liberal ethos could have on women’s engagement in Higher Education. Camilla and Ester also described the successes in gender equality being recorded in their respective countries and proffered workable tips to improve the landscape of HE for women.
