Maynooth University School of Business Welcome New Faculty - Ali Nazarpour

We are delighted to announce that Ali Nazapour has joined Maynooth University School of Business a lecturer. Since his appointment Ali has been teaching contemporary issues in management and also operations management to our undergraduate single honours Business and also double honours Business Arts students.
 
Ali Nazarpour is currently completing his PhD at University College Dublin, Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business at present. He earned both his Masters in Business Administration and also a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (Industrial Production) from Iran University of Science and Technology. He has previously taught at University College Dublin School of Business, and at the University of Applied Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran. He has taught Management of Organisations, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Organisational Culture and Behaviour, Project Management, and several other modules in the past. Prior to working in academia he worked in the engineering sector, where he held roles in sales, market research, planning and inventory management.
 
Ali’s research is primarily focused on operations management, risk management and innovation. His work has been published in the proceedings of the European Operations Management Association (EurOMA) conference and the Operations Management Society (POMS) conference in addition to a number of other conference presentations. He has published two journal papers in Iran. His research has been supported by a number of PhD scholarships from the government of Iran and also UCD. His most recent research has been exploring country level factors in the trade off between cost and flexibility in mass customisation; relationships between suppliers and customers in pricing; and the relationship between innovation and competitive advantage amongst other themes.
