Students and staff visit Dublin's dead

Friday, October 2, 2015 - 14:00

On Friday October 2nd, 2015 students from the Department's MA programme and staff toured Glasnevin Cemetery.  The graveyard which opened in 1832 contains the remains of more than 1.5 million people.  The  historical tour provides insight into this unique Victorian burial place and into the final resting place of the men and women who have helped shape Ireland’s past and present.  It is well worth a visit if you want to find out more about the social history of the city and the country.  See www.glasnevintrust.ie
