MU Music staff to feature prominently at Papal Mass

Department of Music staff will play key roles as composers and performers at the Papal Mass in Phoenix Park on 26 August. Introduced by a specially commissioned fanfare by Dr Ryan Molloy, the Mass will include Dr John O’Keeffe’s The Apostles’ Creed. Dr O’Keeffe will direct the 3000-voice choir, which includes many current and former MU Music students, while tutor David Grealy is organist. Professor Emeritus Gerard Gillen will play organ at a special ceremony for Pope Francis at Dublin’s Pro-Cathedral.
