Faculty EDI Forum
The Faculty EDI Forum is an open, inclusive, and non-hierarchical space where all members of the Faculty are welcome to raise and discuss EDI-related issues, concerns, and ideas. Operating under Chatham House rules, the Forum provides a safe, respectful, and confidential environment for open dialogue.
Purpose and Role
The EDI Forum serves as a key platform for:
- Encouraging open and constructive discussions on equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Identifying challenges, opportunities, and potential actions to enhance inclusivity within the Faculty.
- Providing a direct line of communication between Faculty members and the Faculty EDI Committee.
How It Works
The Forum is open to all Faculty members, ensuring broad participation across different roles and disciplines.
Discussions follow Chatham House rules, meaning that while ideas and insights may be shared outside the Forum, individual contributions remain anonymous to foster honest and open conversations.
Key points raised during the Forum, where appropriate and agreed, are:
- Brought anonymously to the Faculty EDI Committee for consideration and action.
- Communicated as part of the EDI standing item at the next Faculty meeting.
By fostering an inclusive and collaborative space for dialogue, the Faculty EDI Forum plays an essential role in shaping the Faculty’s approach to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
