On 10th of January the School of Law and Criminology hosted an event Early Career Researchers Workshop in Forced Migration Law workshop funded by the Society of Legal Scholars and coordinated by Chunyan Chon, Victoria Oluwatobi Isa Daniel, Brid Ni Ghrainne and Cliodhna Murphy

Prof Michael Doherty has been appointed by the Minister for Trade, Enterprise and Employment (DETE) as Chairperson of the new Employment Law Review Group (ELRG)
The ELRG’s function will be to monitor, review, and advise on all aspects of employment and redundancy law, with a specific focus on promoting good workplace relations in the State, simplifying the operation of employment and redundancy law in the State, and ensuring that the State’s suite of employment rights and redundancy legislation remains relevant and fit for purpose and is updated to reflect international developments.

CORD Partnership launches Agenda for 2025-26 and Implementation Group
In January 2025, the Criminal justice Open Research Dialogue (CORD) Partnership published An Agenda for the CORD Partnership, 2025-2026. The 2025-26 Agenda was co-created with dozens of partners in 2024 to progress the CORD Partnership’s goals over the coming years.
