Maynooth University Writers-in-Residence Rob Doyle and Sarah Maria Griffin host a discussion with Róisín Kiberd, Ian Maleney, and Mark O’Connell.

Róisín Kiberd’s journalism has appeared in The Guardian, the Independent; she writes regularly for Motherboard, Vice, Lovin
Dublin, and Totally Dublin. Her work focuses on technology and culture and their intersection.

Ian Maleney’s writing on the arts, politics, and technology has appeared in The Irish Times, Gorse, and elsewhere. Ian is the
founder of Fallow Media, a creative space exploring ways in which the internet affords challenges and innovation to artistic forms.

Mark O’Connell is a journalist whose work regularly appears in Slate, The New Yorker, and The New York Times Magazine, among
others. His book How to be a Machine: Encounters with a Post-Human Future (2017) was described by The Guardian as ’captivating’.
