Maynooth University Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO)

After my BA (1984) in French and Irish obtained at Maynooth University, I went on to do my postgraduate studies in Paris at the Université de la Sorbonne. I was awarded a PhD in French Literature at Paris 4 (Sorbonne) in June 1991. In 1995 I successfully completed the Agrégation d'anglais competitive exam to teach English. Since then, I have been teaching English at French Universities: Université René Descartes (Paris 5) for seven years and, since 2003, at the Université de Paris Nanterre.
