Cormuin Ó Raghallaigh comes from Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. His initial piano lessons were with his mother Áine and Darina Gibson. Upon winning a scholarship to St. Finians College, Mullingar, he continued his studies with Pádhraic Ó Cuinneagáin and also studied organ with Shane Brennan. Cormuin holds a Master's degree in piano performance from Maynooth University where he also obtained a B.A. in English. His piano teacher during this time was Leonora Carney and he also studied organ with John O'Keeffe. His most recent piano teacher was Prof. Reamonn Keary. 
Having made his solo debut in the john Field room of the National Concert Hall in 2009, other performances include a solo lunchtime Concert at the same venue in 2011 as well as a recital in the Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoaghaire. He has also played at the Íontas Centre, Castleblayney as well as Mary Immaculate College in Limerick. His most recent solo recital was an online concert in Maynooth University in November 2020. He has a keen interest in accompanying and has served as official accompanist to Bray Choral Society, Wicklow Choral Society and Maynooth University Music Department. In February 2019 he was pianist for the Irish premiere of Howard Goodall's 'Invictus': A Passion in St. Andrews Church, Westland Row. This performance was given by the combined forces of Bray and Wicklow Choral Societies and a second performance took place the following night at the church of the Holy Redeemer, Bray.  Cormuin is presently organist and musical director of the church of St. Thérèse, Mount Merrion.
