Launch of Letters 1916 in Cork
The Letters 1916 project launches in Cork on Thursday 26 November 2015. A series of events associated with the project kick off in the Boole Library and Boole Lecture Theatre 2 in UCC from 2pm and the launch begins with a reception in the UCC Staff Dining Room at 5:15pm to be followed by a series of evening talks. Historic Mount Street comes to Digital Life
Researchers at Maynooth University and Trinity College Dublin, in conjunction with the Humanities Virtual Worlds Consortium and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, have developed a virtual world to allow researchers and members of the public a novel way to understand The Battle of Mount Street, one of the most seminal engagements of the 1916 Rising.
