The Research Committee of the Faculty of Arts, Celtic Studies and Philosophy is convened by the Dean. The Committee work to share knowledge, raise research related concerns on behalf of their departments, and work together on topical policies. The Committee also convenes the annual Dean’s Lecture to showcase the value and importance of the arts and humanities to wider society. Representatives from each department in the Faculty sit on the committee for a term of three years, with additional representation from the Arts and Humanities Institute. The Chair of the Committee represents the Faculty at Academic Council’s Standing Committee for Research and the
Standing Committee for Graduate Education. The Chair also sits on the Board of the Irish Humanities Alliance.
