The role of the Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning, within the area of teaching and learning, is to promote excellence and innovation, to enhance student learning and success, to propose and implement strategic initiatives, and to advise the Dean in the design and implementation of the Faculty’s strategic goals for taught programmes both on undergraduate and taught postgraduate.
 
The Associate Dean also plays a key role in ensuring the quality and coherence of teaching and learning processes within the Faculty and, in partnership with their counterparts, across the university.
 
The role of Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Arts, Celtic Studies and Philosophy was originally created in 2022.
 
The position is currently held by Dr Susan Gottlöber.
