Rachel O'Neill and James O'Malley, University Tutors in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics, have won inaugural Irish Mathematics Learning Support Network (IMLSN) Tutor Excellence Awards. The awards were presented at the CETL-MSOR Conference, the annual international MLS conference held in DCU on the 5th of September. Rachel and James were appointed as University Tutors in March 2019 as part of the ICT-STEM project funded by the HEA, and they work under the direction of Dr. Ciarán Mac an Bhaird. Peter Mulligan, MSC tutor is the tutor representative on the IMLSN committee. The judging panel were independent MLS experts from the UK.
