Helen McEntee TD, Minister for European Affairs and Nathalie Loiseau, Minister for European Affairs for France, attended Maynooth University today, as part of Minister McEntee’s Citizens' Dialogue on the Future of Europe, engaging with more than 300 students and staff in a packed Iontas Lecture Theatre.
Speaking in advance of the dialogue, Minister McEntee said: “It is vital that Ireland brings its influence to bear on the future direction of the European Union. The EU is not perfect and responding to the needs and concerns of our citizens should be a priority. The EU must, therefore, look to its citizens for guidance to hear from them what they want from the EU and how they want it to work better for them.”
