Dr Catherine Gander has been announced as a Research Ally by Research Ireland. Research Ally prizes honour the crucial role played by higher education personnel in supporting the academic research community across all career levels. Postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows, academic and research-active staff were invited to nominate the mentors, supervisors, research officers and technical support staff who have supported their work and careers and improved the Irish research ecosystem.
The 2024 awards saw 67 Research Allies recognised for their contribution to supporting research in Ireland.
This is the second time Dr Gander has been awarded a Research Ally prize (the first time being in 2021).
