Walk-in Service - no appointment required.

When and where

The Walk-In service operates during term-time only on Wednesday mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm

The Counselling Service is located on the Top Floor of the Student Services Centre, just behind the John Hume Building on the North Campus.

What is the Walk-In service?

The ‘Walk-In’ is a short, brief session that offers you the opportunity to speak with one of the Counselling Team without having to make an appointment.

This service is specifically for students who are not linked in with the Counselling Service.

If you are keen to find out if counselling can help you, or you have a particular worry on the day that you wish to speak with a counsellor about, please consider using the Walk-In Service.

How long will it take?

Walk-in sessions are approx. 15 minutes in duration. We will advise you of the estimated wait time, depending on the demand. You will be required to complete a registration form prior to your walk-in session.

Will I be seen on the morning?

The Walk-In service operates on a First-come, First-served basis. Last student will be seen at 12.30pm. We cannot guarantee you will be seen within the time allocated as it depends on how many students turn up on the day. If you cannot be accommodated at the Walk-In service, we will offer you a booked appointment with the Service.

This service is for new students only, not for students already linked in with us. If you are already linked in please call Reception on 01-708 3554 to make your next appointment.
