This micro-credential, designed by Maynooth University, aims to provide a pipeline of skilled talent that meets a highlighted industry need – innovative ways to improve sustainability in fintech. Supporting the Irish Government’s Ireland for Finance Strategy 2025, the programme directly engages with the Technology & Innovation Pillar of the strategy and the Sustainable Finance horizontal priority. Technology & Innovation is the second pillar of the Ireland for Finance strategy and deals with emerging challenges and opportunities in technology that impact on the financial services sector in Ireland. This programme will also contribute to the Talent pillar of the strategy through educating the workforce to be able to meet the demands of the international financial services sector.
As the market demands more sustainable business practices, and as regulators impose increasingly stringent sustainability targets, an understanding of how to ensure long-term business and financial activity is now an essential attribute of anyone working in a legal, financial or policy profession.
